The Hadzabe are an indigenous ethnic group in Tanzania who live near Lake Eyasi. They are one of the last remaining hunter gatherer tribes in the world, living today with minimal contact to the modern world. They practice egalitarianism, a political structure which values equality of the group over leadership of the few. During my time studying anthropology, I woke at sunrise on a cold winter morning and captured their hunt for wild boar. Hadzabe Hunt explores what life was like thousands of years ago, when all our ancestors were hunter-gatherers. Hunters as young as ten years old led the group, moving like lightning through the bush twice as quietly as I could ever have hoped for myself. The hunt ended with the capture of small wild birds - the boar escaped to live another day.
